Michigan voters handed President Biden and former President Trump decisive victories Tuesday, raising the possibility of a 2020 rematch as both candidates look to solidify their front-runner status on Super Tuesday.
The Associated Press called on Michigan to support Biden and Trump shortly after polls closed Tuesday, leaving both candidates undefeated as they seek to represent their respective parties again in the 2024 presidential election.
Biden’s victory in the state comes despite slowing calls among Arab Americans to “abandon” support for the president, who continues to support Israel in the Gaza war. did.

The movement gained the support of Michigan Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib, who announced public opposition to supporting the president ahead of her home state’s primary election.
“Today, I was proud to pick up my Democratic ballot and vote irresponsibly. We must protect our democracy. We have to make sure it’s true,” Tlaib said in a video shared by Listen to Michigan. Groups supporting insurrection against Biden.

For Democrats, voters in 14 states and American Samoa will head to the polls to choose their candidates on Super Tuesday. These states include Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, and Virginia.
Republicans in Washington, D.C., will vote over three days this weekend, before caucuses are held in Idaho and Missouri on Saturday. North Dakota voters will caucus on Monday.
