President Joe Biden (81) looked as old as ever as he visited France to mark the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings during World War II, a stark fact considering that Biden was born when the historic operation took place.
As is typical in his public appearances, Biden walked slowly beside French President Emmanuel Macron, who appeared unsure of where to stand, before being escorted out of the ceremony by first lady Jill Biden while Macron stayed behind to shake hands with veterans of the Normandy landings.
Biden Also In his speech, he spoke about how many Russians have been killed in the recent war in Ukraine.
“You can see that the Secret Service agents are clearly uncomfortable.”
But if Biden lingers next to the motorcade with the door open, it won’t just be aesthetically awkward — it could pose a safety risk.
“This is really bad. The most dangerous parts of the security process are getting on and off the motorcade. They want to get the people on and off the motorcade as quickly as possible,” a source familiar with presidential security told Blaze News. “They usually try to do it with the motorcade covered. This is called uncovered. You can see the glaring anxiety from Secret Service agents.”
The latest sign of aging comes after The Wall Street Journal detailed Biden’s sluggishness in key meetings behind closed doors. The article, citing both Republican and Democratic lawmakers who met with Biden recently, was heavily criticized by Democrats, even as Biden continues to flaunt his age in public.
“In my meetings with President Biden, I found him to be a fantastic person to lead and use his influence to advance important bipartisan priorities,” Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said of the matter. “But you don’t have to believe me; just look at his legislative accomplishments. That’s why Republicans are trying so hard to discredit him.”
The WSJ article revealed that the White House closely monitored Democrats who were interviewed, pressuring them to say only good things about Biden.
