Mystery of voting
If I had been contacted by a pollster, I would have agreed with the findings of this article: President Biden has not made a convincing case for re-election (“Voters are still hedging” ” (March 13).
Why don’t pollsters include questions about deportation and immigrant insecurity?
I imagine Biden will do poorly in the polls on these issues.
I think the media uses polls to manipulate and push the narrative according to their audience.
No matter what the White House says, people are tired of Biden and his pandering to voters.

Aaron’s mistake
Could things get even worse for future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers (“RFK Vice President Reveals on the Way,” March 14)?
First, he lost his spot as host of the popular quiz show Jeopardy.
He then suffered a season-ending injury in his first game as a New York Jet.
Now, there are rumors that Robert Kennedy Jr. is considering him as a running mate in this year’s presidential election.
So what’s next?
Perhaps a DNA sample proving his throwing arm is genetically modified?

holy francis
Pope Francis is once again stepping into world politics (“Rage at Francis for calling for a ‘white flag’ in Ukraine”, March 11).
He advised Ukraine to raise the white flag to stop the war.
Doesn’t he realize that Pope Pius’ failure to condemn Nazi Germany’s genocide of Jews left a stain on the papacy?
Francis should speak out against Russian aggression, China’s inhumanity towards the Uighur people, and injustice everywhere in the world.

award nuisance
I’ll never know how “Oppenheimer” won Best Picture (“The Kaboom We All Knew Is Coming,” March 11).
I haven’t talked to many people who like this movie, but as always, the upper echelons of society are indifferent to what ordinary people think and want.
Hollywood can afford to believe this country is in good hands. Because he has the kind of money that makes celebrities think that way.
You don’t have to go to the grocery store and worry about price gouging.
Also, it was ridiculous for Jimmy Kimmel to make the award political.

tragedy in philadelphia
Last week’s mass shooting in Northeast Philadelphia left eight high school students injured. (March 6).
Philadelphia has been one of America’s most violent cities for decades.
The narrative must change and elected officials must be held accountable.
Innocent young people waiting for the bus home after school become victims of gun violence.

big black market
Selling fake IDs is nothing new (“The fakes take the cake!” March 14).
I’ve seen this firsthand in Los Angeles.
Illegal businesses are setting up shops and selling products that appear to be under-selling.
Homeless people are setting up tents and selling items that still have the store security bands they apparently stole from them.
Laws and common sense no longer seem to be the norm in this country.
