Biden calls Putin a ‘crazy SOB’

President Biden on Wednesday called Russian President Vladimir Putin a “crazy SOB” and criticized former President Trump’s reaction to the death of opposition leader Alexei Navalny.

Biden referred to Putin as an acronym for “son of a bitch” while speaking about climate change at a fundraiser in San Francisco, California.

“This is the last existential threat, and that is the climate. We have crazy SOBs like Putin and others and we have to worry about nuclear conflict all the time, but the existential threat to humanity is It’s the climate,” he said.

The president squarely blamed Putin for Navalny’s death in a Russian prison last week. Biden also did not mention Putin in his reaction to Navalny’s death, instead blaming Trump for complaining that prosecutors, judges and Democrats were colluding against him.

“If I stood here 10 to 15 years ago and said this, you would think I should be committed,” Biden said of Trump’s remarks.

The president said the Republican Party once had “the moral center of America, and that seems to have been lost.”

The comments came after Biden on Tuesday slammed Trump for refusing to hold President Putin accountable for his handling of Navalny’s death.

The White House is expected to announce major sanctions against Russia on Friday. It is expected to hold Russia accountable for what happened to the opposition leader and tighten sanctions against Russia since the war began.
