President Biden’s reelection campaign is attacking former President Trump with a new digital ad on the anniversary of his administration’s family separation policy.
A 50-second ad titled “”torn apart” is aimed at targeting Latino voters across swing states, the campaign says.
It includes images of children at the border and Trump’s comments on immigration, such as “They’re destroying our country” and “When you tell families, ‘If you come, we’ll leave you,’ they won’t do it.” Contains words from the president. Don’t come. ”
It also includes information about Biden’s plans to reunite families when he takes office.
“In my opinion, they’re not people. They’re animals,” Trump said in the ad clip.
The ad warns about the former president’s immigration plans if he is re-elected, including his statement that he would launch the largest deportation operation in U.S. history as soon as he takes office.
The ad says, “Stop Trump.”
“Six years ago, Donald Trump engineered a systematic government policy to separate innocent children from their mothers,” Biden campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez said in a statement. “Since then, Trump has not only justified these cruel policies, he has praised them.”
“To this day, President Biden is working tirelessly to reunite children with their families. This is a sharp contrast to President Trump, who made it his mission to hunt down mothers and children in the name of being ‘tough’ on immigrants.” It’s a lasting legacy,” she added. .
