President Biden’s reelection campaign launched a seven-figure media offensive on Thursday, hours before the first presidential debate between Biden and former President Trump.
The media offensive, which began Thursday morning, included ads on the websites of BuzzFeed, CNN, El Tiempo Latino, Telemundo, The Grio and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Ads also appeared on the USA Today website and in a full-page ad in the paper that claims Trump is a “self-centered criminal.”
The campaign plans to place billboards around Atlanta during the debate, moderated by CNN’s Jake Tapper and Dana Bash, which begins at 9 pm EDT. The team also plans to project QR codes on billboards, sidewalks and buildings around the city that voters can scan to learn how the Biden campaign is laying out its plans for a second term for Trump.

Trump, who has said he would not sign a nationwide abortion ban, has focused on retribution if he is re-elected, especially following his recent conviction in a New York hush-money case.
“Today’s show of force in Atlanta and across the battlegrounds underscores the two contrasting visions the American people will see on tonight’s debate stage: a President Biden fighting for the American people and Donald Trump focused solely on one man’s campaign interests – himself,” Kevin Munoz, a senior spokesman for Biden, said in a statement.
The Trump campaign also plans to run two 30-second ads during the debate with Biden that include content suggesting the sitting president would not be able to serve a full second term.
The Democratic National Committee has also set up mobile billboards around the debate venue attacking the former president over election interference in the Peach State.
