President Joe Biden made another gaffe in a recent interview. During an interview with Black Entertainment Television that aired on Wednesday, Biden appeared to forget the Secretary of Defense’s name and referred to him as a “black man.”
The 81-year-old president made the remarks on BET’s “Black America Votes” while discussing his record of appointing black people to his administration.
“So … it’s about treating people with dignity. And it’s about making sure that — you see, for example, the backlash I got for nominating a Black person to be secretary of defense,” Biden began.
“I nominated Ketanji Brown because of the people I nominate,” Biden said, referring to Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson.
