Biden-Harris campaign immediately fundraises off Trump’s guilty verdict

The Biden-Harris campaign quickly began fundraising following former President Trump’s conviction, urging supporters that the legal blow to the Republican front-runner would not be enough to block him from reaching the White House.

“Biden HQ” said in a text message to supporters on Thursday that “despite the jury’s guilty verdict today against Donald Trump, there is only one way to keep Donald Trump out of the Oval Office — the ballot box.”

“Whether or not he is convicted, Trump will be the Republican nominee for president. But one thing is certain: as you read this, Donald Trump’s supporters are fired up and likely to set a fundraising record for his campaign,” the campaign said.

“He’s going to use that money to get back into the White House and carry out his threats of revenge and retaliation against his political opponents. So while the MAGA right is rushing to Trump’s support, Joe Biden, and anyone who cares about democracy, needs you.”

“If you’ve been waiting for the perfect time to make your first donation to Joe Biden’s reelection campaign, we’re here to tell you that today is the day,” the campaign said, calling for donations of $20 or whatever amount supporters can afford.

Former President Donald Trump’s campaign website was updated Thursday after he was found guilty of all charges in a trial in New York.

The updated website included a message from Trump calling him a “political prisoner.”

“I’ve just been convicted in a rigged political witch-hunt trial,” he continued. “I did nothing wrong! They searched my house, arrested me, took my mugshot, and now they’ve found me guilty!”

“Villain Joe Biden needs to get the message here and now that his chance for a second term ends today,” the former president added.

Through his updated website, Trump called on his supporters to donate “massively” and “immediately” to his campaign.

Trump was convicted on all 34 charges in the criminal case.
