President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are pumping more than a million foreign workers into U.S. jobs, while native-born Americans continue to fall out of the labor force.
Latest Bureau of Labor Statistics Report The August report reveals how Biden and Harris' mass immigration policies have had a significant impact on the country's labor market, tilting it in favor of new immigrants who are released from the southern border into the U.S. interior.
About 1.24 million foreign workers secured jobs last year, while the number of U.S.-born people with jobs in the U.S. fell by 1.32 million over the same period, according to the report.
“[August] The jobs report shows more pain for native-born Americans, who have lost more than 1.3 million jobs over the past year, while foreign-born workers have gained more than 1.2 million jobs, leaving U.S. workers left out of the “recovery,” wrote EJ Antoni, an economist at the Heritage Foundation.
Foreign workers have been dominating the workforce compared to native-born Americans since 2019, before the Chinese coronavirus pandemic shut down the U.S. economy.
“Compared to pre-pandemic, employment for foreign-born workers has increased by 4.4 million (and is growing again), while employment for native-born Americans has fallen by 833,000 over the same period — literally no progress in five years,” Antoni noted.
Former President Donald Trump, in a speech on Friday, slammed the Biden-Harris administration over the jobs report.
“Illegal immigration, primarily illegal aliens, are taking jobs from native-born Americans. I've said that's what's going to happen,” Trump said.
More than 30 million legal and illegal immigrants are employed in the U.S. as of 2022, a 20% increase over the past 15 years, according to a study released in July by the Pew Research Center. Over the same period, the number of U.S.-born people joining the workforce has increased by less than 10%.
