Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) said Sunday on NBC's “Meet the Press” that President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are pressuring Israel more than Hamas and Iran, both of which are prolonging the conflict.
Asked about the six hostages found in Rafah killed by Hamas, Cotton said, “It is very sad news that Hamas murdered and executed these six hostages in cold blood just before they were rescued by the IDF. They had apparently been shot in the head.”
He continued, “My heartfelt condolences to all the families, especially the Hersh-Goldberg-Polin family, our fellow Americans, some of whom are still missing. These hostages were found under the Rafah tunnels, where Joe Biden and Kamala Harris used an arms embargo to pressure Israel to keep them out for months.”
Cotton added, “Kamala Harris even said Israel should not have entered Rafah because she had studied the maps. What the Biden-Harris Administration should have done from the beginning was to let Israel win from the start, not to counter-pressure Israel. For 11 months, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have pressured Israel more than Hamas, Iran and other terrorist organizations.”
