Biden was at home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, on Friday after holding just one public event this week.
Biden arrived at the White House late Thursday night and remains away after a tumultuous week around the world and on Wall Street. He has no events scheduled for today.

According to the Associated Press, Russia has also declared a “federal-level” state of emergency in the Kursk region on the Ukrainian border, where Kiev has launched its biggest surprise attack on Russia since the war began more than two years ago.

A sell-off in global stock markets on Monday saw the Dow Jones Industrial Average fall 2.6%, the Nasdaq Composite fall 3.43% and the S&P 500 fall 3%, but Thursday’s release of jobless claims numbers eased some fears of an economic recession.
But one US economist warns this may just be the beginning of a “liquidation”.
“There’s a lot of pain ahead for the economy and for the markets, which have really been laggards, like the Fed,” MacroMarvens President Stephanie Pomboy said Thursday on Fox Business’ “Mornings with Maria.”

Biden hosted the reigning MLB World Series champion Texas Rangers at the White House on Thursday in his only public event this week.
After Biden gave some comments about the Rangers’ championship season, manager Bruce Bochy presented him with a custom jersey, which Biden then held up for a photo. Bochy also presented the president with a pair of cowboy boots.

After a moment, Biden asked, “So, what do I do now?” and his guests and players laughed.
