Liberal documentary filmmaker Michael Moore said Monday on CNN’s “The Source” that the campus protests are dangerous for President Joe Biden, who is up for re-election in November.
Caitlan Collins: A CNN poll showed today that 81 percent of voters under the age of 35 disapprove of President Biden’s handling of this war. I mean, you see it on campus. The question is what will happen in November. What do you think he should do to change this number?
Moore: Thanks for the question, Caitlan. That’s why I thought so when I got the call asking if I’d like to join you tonight. He really came. We know we’re talking to millions of people. However, I would like to talk to a specific person. And that’s President Biden.
I wanted to say this on tonight’s show, but I think it’s very likely that he won’t be re-elected at this point because of these numbers. Because they are losing the youth vote. He lost the Arab American vote in Michigan. So much so that even Michelle Goldberg said in a New York Times column last month that losing Michigan means losing the election.
I am fighting to keep that from happening. I’m trying to save Joe Biden. Because as soon as he does the right thing, and if you’re listening and you’re looking at Mr. Biden, who is a fellow Catholic, some would say, in my case, we’ve bounced back, but we’re still Catholics. That’s why.
And the Pope is right about this. An immediate ceasefire is needed. wrong. The genocide of innocent people, children, women, and the elderly is a crime. It is completely contrary to what we believe.
You know that too. I know that’s why you’re not very happy with Prime Minister Netanyahu’s actions here. And we can stop the murder tonight. When you pull the plug, the bank closes. You shut it down. It doesn’t mean that we don’t support Israel or that we won’t defend Israel. absolutely. That’s all.
But that’s not what’s happening here. It’s genocide. That’s — that’s — that’s right, that’s crazy, President Biden. And you know this. And I say to you, as a fellow seminarian, a Catholic priesthood holder, that’s me, that this is wrong. This is not what we believe.
And after World War II, I think we’re all in the shadow of the Holocaust. We are all sons and daughters of our time. And what did we want? We wanted to ensure that Jews would never suffer or be killed again. So I supported the idea that everyone should have this house.
But the homes and land were not taken from the Nazis or the Germans. We didn’t give them Bavaria. We took land from people, not a single Palestinian built an oven in Auschwitz. No Palestinians were in charge of the Spanish Inquisition. Not a single Palestinian attempted to flee before they were all exterminated, driving back the boats of German-Jewish refugees that attempted to dock in the forbidden Boston, New York, and Miami. And we, the United States, will drive them back.
And that’s, I’m just saying, yes, it’s natural that, as you say, you care and love Jews, obviously, you do. But this is different. This is – this is a mass extinction. What about carpet bombing civilians? And for those of us who are watching this, it’s our taxes, it’s my taxes. I mean, we’re funding this. We are responsible. We have to own this. And we have to own it.
So — sorry, Caitlan. I say this because people, Democrats say, oh, don’t say this. we have to win the election. But we will lose the election. If we don’t turn this situation around, we’re going to lose Michigan. And President Biden is doing nothing to turn the situation around. It would do more to return Trump to the White House. And I refuse to put Donald Trump back in the White House.
