Former national security adviser John Bolton said on CNN’s “The Newsroom” on Friday that President Joe Biden is telling Democrats to “groom themselves, lemmings” because he’s going to “go off the edge of a cliff” and take them down with him.
“President Biden’s message to Democrats yesterday evening was basically, ‘Get ready, lemmings. I’m going to fall off the edge of a cliff, and you’re coming with me,'” Bolton said.
He continued, “If Democrats want to do that, you know, they’ll elect Trump. They’ll also help elect Republican senators and representatives. Nobody can guarantee, and we all know, that there won’t be a debate fiasco or something like that in September or October. And at that point, Democrats have no choice. They’ll be stuck. They’ll be tied to the mast of the Biden ship, which is sinking.”
Bolton added, “This is their last chance to do something. All I can say is that if they run Biden as the nominee and Trump wins, I think Trump owes it to himself on Election Day in his victory speech to thank Biden and the Democratic Party for nominating him.”
