Biden Might Have Served Four Additional Years as President

Clyburn Expresses Confidence in Biden’s Ability to Serve Another Term

Representative James Clyburn (D-SC) expressed his belief on CNN’s “Union Status” that former President Joe Biden can effectively perform his presidential duties for another four years.

In a conversation with host Jake Tapper, he was asked whether Biden could manage the responsibilities of the presidency when he turns 86 in January 2029. Clyburn responded affirmatively, saying, “Yes. I thought so at the time. I can’t say for certain now, but I didn’t claim otherwise then. The point is, I never said Biden couldn’t do the job.”

Tapper then probed into the Democratic Party’s low standing with American voters, suggesting it might be linked to perceptions of dysfunction at the White House, particularly concerning Biden and his family. Clyburn replied, “Well, it was very well done.”
