President Joe Biden has awarded former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and left-wing billionaire George Soros the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest civilian honor. Biden also honored 17 other people during the ceremony.

On Saturday, the president awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom to individuals he believes have made exemplary contributions to the prosperity, values and security of the United States, world peace, or other important social, public or private endeavors.
The 19 recipients of the Presidential Medal of Freedom are:

Many people online are furious at who Biden chose to honor.
SpaceX founder Elon Musk told X: “Biden giving the Medal of Freedom to Soros is a travesty.”
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana) said it was a “shame” that Biden had spent his final weeks in the White House celebrating politicians who tried and failed to topple President-elect Donald Trump. “It's the right thing to do,” he said.
Correction 11:30 a.m.: Mitt Romney has been removed from the title because he accepted the award on behalf of George W. Romney.
