President Joe Biden held his first solo press conference of 2024, but like the debate and the interview that followed it, it was a disaster.

“Let’s start with the big news story that started all this nonsense: Joe Biden calling Volodymyr Zelenskyy ‘President Putin.’ That’s what started the day,” he said, choking back laughter.
Biden is trying to prove he’s not, in Stewart’s words, an “incompetent idiot,” but what he did at the NATO meeting in Washington DC was the exact opposite.
“Your situation here is, ‘I need to demonstrate my capabilities, but I need to demonstrate that my capabilities won’t ruin the larger international situation,’ probably literally. And what you’ll do on that day, quite explicitly, is do exactly what Vladimir Putin wants you to do,” Stu says.
“To actually say he’s the president of Ukraine. What a start,” Stu laughed again.
Biden then took to the stage at a press conference, where things only got worse.
“At one point he started bragging about both the economy and the border, and that’s the clearest example of how this guy has completely lost his mind. No rational person could brag about the borders of the United States,” Stu says.
Biden came to his senses after calling Zelensky “Putin,” but not when he later referred to Vice President Kamala Harris as “President Trump.”
“That’s not a good sign,” Stu comments. “It’s not a positive development.”
Despite the obvious fact that the press conference was bad, Stu thinks it actually wasn’t that bad for Biden.
“He definitely continued to do the stand up but it started to taper off towards the end. The content is pretty boring. The whispering started around the middle when he was doing a lot of it,” Stu said, adding: “It was really uncomfortable and really weird and nobody liked it but he continues to do it.”
