Trump calls for debate with Biden ‘anytime, anywhere, anywhere’

Biden’s comments came after President Trump earlier in the week called for a debate “anytime, anywhere, anywhere.”

Trump, the 2024 Republican front-runner and presumptive candidate, announced Wednesday just hours after his previous Republican opponent, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, suspended campaigning. In the afternoon, he posted his offer on Truth Social.

“It is important to our nation’s interests that Joe Biden and I discuss issues of vital importance to America and the American people,” President Trump posted Wednesday. “Therefore, I am calling for a debate anytime, anywhere, anywhere! The debate could be run by the corrupt DNC or its subsidiary, the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD).”

Immediately after President Trump’s invitation on Wednesday, the Biden campaign fired back.

“We know Donald Trump is starving for attention and struggling to expand his appeal beyond MAGA,” Biden campaign communications director Michael Tyler told Fox News Digital. “And that will be something we will discuss at the appropriate time in this cycle.” “But if you want to see President Biden in prime time, there’s no need to wait!”
