President Joe Biden spent nearly a quarter (24%) of his final year in office in Delaware, Camp David or at vacation spots, according to a Daily Caller review of White House pool reports. This was revealed in the investigation.
In 2024, Biden spent 89 full days and a half away from the White House, not including the days he traveled overseas for official business. After withdrawing from the presidential race, the president's time away from office increased, spending a total of 46 days, full or partial, in Delaware, Camp David, St. Croix, Nantucket, and California from August until the end of the year. The caller count includes the president's current visit to St. Croix, but the White House has not announced an end date. In 2023, the president remained in office until the second day of the following year.
This count does not include the president's one trip to Camp David to prepare for the first presidential debate, during which he was away from public view for nearly a week. Kohler also didn't count Biden's visit to Delaware to recover from the coronavirus, during which he also didn't appear for a week before withdrawing from the presidential race via Twitter.

According to a 2022 Daily Caller analysis, the president spent nearly 40% of the year in Delaware, Camp David and other vacation spots. In 2023, Biden spent 37% of the year on vacation, according to a New York Post analysis. As of Dec. 26, Biden has spent 570 days of his presidential term on vacation, nearly 40%, according to a research report from the Republican National Committee.
