Joe Biden may have dropped out of the 2024 presidential race, but that doesn’t mean he won’t try to take the country with him when he retires.
In a speech at the Johnson Presidential Library in Texas on Monday, Biden outlined his plans to get back at Trump and “reform” the Supreme Court, blasting the “extreme positions” he believes some justices have taken.
“I am calling for a Constitutional amendment that says ‘No man is above the law,'” Biden tweeted. “There will be no immunity for former Presidents for crimes they committed while in office.”
“It’s already there. They can’t actually knowingly commit a crime,” commented Pat Gray of “Pat Gray Unleashed.” “If the president was trying to strangle one of the reporters there, he’d be held accountable for that.”
Biden continued his largely incomprehensible speech, telling the audience he believes there should be term limits on “Supreme Court justices of the United States.”
“The United States is the only major constitutional democracy that gives Supreme Court justices life tenure. Term limits would help ensure that Supreme Court justices are regularly replaced,” Biden said, proposing 18-year term limits.
“That will ensure that this country doesn’t have the extreme court that we have now,” he continued, noting that the justices on the court have an “extreme agenda.”
“They always follow the methods of socialists, Nazis and fascists,” Gray said, before Keith Marinac pointed out that Cuban-American lawmakers have said the first thing Nicolás Maduro did in Venezuela was reform the Supreme Court.
But House Speaker Mike Johnson argues the plan is “as bad as it gets.”
When a reporter asked Biden about Johnson’s claim, Biden retorted, “He is,” meaning Johnson is “dead on arrival.”
“Isn’t that a violent statement? Is that a threat?” Gray asked in shock.
