Thursday night’s disastrous debate between President Biden and Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump quickly sparked a flood of internet memes as dismayed viewers tried to find humor in the situation.
“If you don’t live in America, please stop arguing. This is a personal humiliation for our family and we all hope you won’t stare.” Stand-up comedian and author Ginny Hogan joked about X.
“I just walk around my apartment and point out inanimate objects that I think are presidential,” she added.
Viewers were quick to notice that Biden froze up several times and made slip-ups.
“This new Biden game is great.” Another X poster wrote: The post was accompanied by a screenshot of the 81-year-old sitting president gazing blankly into space.
A series of buttons were displayed around Biden’s face, including options to “stare blankly into space,” say “That’s bullshit” (one of Biden’s phrases directed at Trump) and “Summon First Lady Jill.”
One viewer summed up Biden’s performance with a screenshot of Wallace, the stop-motion character from “Wallace and Gromit,” his eyes wide and his mouth agape.

Another meme Biden was seen looking confused on stage during the debate. She captioned it, “Me when someone starts explaining the rules of a board game.”
Another post showed an image of a truck, edited with the Biden-Harris campaign logo, skidding off a highway and bursting into flames, with the caption: “This is what Joe Biden’s debate performance will look like…”
1 meme account CNN co-host Jake Tapper edited out film clips showing Biden being carried through the chaotic battlefield. But then Trump swooped in and blew the president away.
