On Thursday’s broadcast of NBC’s “MTP Now,” Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (Democratic) said that President Joe Biden’s call for action toward a two-state solution and a cease-fire resolution at the United Nations is a response to President Biden’s response. He said this was in response to criticism from the left. The conflict between Israel and Hamas.
host Yamiche Alcindor asked. “But President Biden appears to be responsible. There were unconfirmed votes in your state on Super Tuesday, and 19% of people voted unconfirmed. Are we doing enough to address this criticism from Democrats?”
Waltz replied: “Oh, look, this is — and Minnesotans are an independent people. We elected an independent governor. And I’m proud that our party can make this happen. [conversation]. This is what the campaign should do. And I think, you saw the UN resolution on ceasefire. I think you’ve seen the president talk about the need for a durable two-state solution, the need to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, while also recognizing Israel’s right to exist. So I think they were expressing the dissatisfaction of the Democratic Party. It’s healthy. But at the end of the day, they’re certainly not going to support Donald Trump. The problem is that they understand that they need to come back, that they need to come back not only to what’s happening in the Middle East, but also to issues of reproductive rights and what’s happening in Africa. That means you need to make sure they have enough motivation to do so.healthcare, what happens [the] They’re the ones working with President Biden on the environment, all of those things. So, yeah, I think they do that and I think it’s healthy and I think they have a right to express their dissatisfaction. But at the end of the day, they’re going to come home and it’s going to help make a difference. ”
