Biden’s debate disaster ‘showcased the very reason’ Dems indicted Donald Trump, son Eric says

Last night was a bad night for Joe Biden’s presidential campaign, but a good night for Donald Trump’s presidential campaign — and his family is ecstatic.

“I’m very proud of my dad’s performance in the debate,” Trump’s son Eric, 40, told The Washington Post. “He had a great night.”

In the first presidential debate in Atlanta on Thursday night, a raspy-voiced Biden stumbled through the arguments and at one point appeared to freeze up, but the former president still managed to win by a landslide.

This has led to a flurry of panicked calls for Biden to step down so Democrats can field a more competitive candidate to take on Trump in November.

And the Trump family won. “Last night showed exactly why the Biden administration has been trying to prosecute and indict my father for the last three years,” Eric said.

The public seemed to share similar sentiments: A quick poll after the debate showed most viewers thought Trump was the winner of the night, though only 19% of women in a YouGov poll said Biden beat Trump.

The Democratic National Convention begins in Chicago on August 19th, but what will happen is more uncertain than ever.
