Biker fight in Wild LI involving Pagan's and Hell's Angels results in major felony case

A violent confrontation between the Pagans and Hells Angels motorcycle gangs near Long Island has escalated into a significant legal case.

The Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office recently announced the indictment of five individuals connected to the Pagans Motorcycle Club and the Hells Angels’ Demons of Hell MC. They face charges related to gang assault following brutal altercations that occurred in West Islip and Lindenhurst in September.

This confrontation reportedly began when Hells Angels members disrupted a memorial for Pagans, leading to a chaotic scene. Four individuals were stabbed, while others suffered injuries from hammers and baseball bats, necessitating emergency medical care.

“This was an alarming and reckless display of violence that endangered our community,” stated Suffolk District Attorney Ray Tierney.

“What began as a clash between rival gangs quickly turned into a chaotic melee involving weapons on Sunrise Highway, resulting in several serious injuries.”

Two suspects, Christopher Clark, 21, and Roger Clark, 53, allegedly attacked a Pagan member, stabbing him and then using a hammer, which left the victim critically injured and requiring surgical intervention.

Authorities reported that Roger also stabbed another Pagan as he attempted to flee, resulting in serious internal injuries.

On the Pagans’ side, Joseph Vivona, 46, Michael Buffa, 57, and Robert Miller, 54, are said to have collectively attacked a 76-year-old rival, inflicting injuries that led to a brain bleed and further surgeries.

The confrontation originated inside 1683 Sports Bar & Grill in West Islip before moving about five miles to a Phillips 66 gas station in Lindenhurst.

The events initially unfolded on the afternoon of September 14, when members of the Demons of Hell attacked a memorial service held at the West Islip bar.

As tensions rose, the violence spilled onto the streets, culminating in a larger clash involving at least 15 bikers at a gas station along Route 66 off Sunrise Highway.

Initially labeled a civil war by law enforcement, only seven individuals were charged with rioting shortly after the brawl.

However, a more thorough investigation spanning over five months has provided police with a clearer understanding of the incident.

On Tuesday, all five suspects faced arraignment and are currently being held on bail amounts ranging from $250,000 to $750,000.

The prosecution has emphasized their commitment to addressing gang-related violence firmly.

“We will not tolerate this kind of behavior,” concluded Tierney.
