Billionaire investor Bill Ackman increased its sportswear company Nike by 15%, investing in fast casual food chain Chipotle Mexican Grill in the fourth quarter, according to regulatory filings on Friday. Reduced by %.
Ackman's company Pershing Square Capital Management owns 18.8 million shares on Nike and 24.7 million shares on Chipotle, a name that his company has owned since 2016.
Ackman, one of Wall Street's most volume corporate agitators, who wanted changes in companies, ranging from the Canadian Pacific Kansas City Railway to industrial gas manufacturers' aviation products and chemicals, was one of Wall Street's most volume company agitators, a few years ago. He adopted a quiet investment style, but his picks still follow closely.
The company is steadily cutting investments in Chipotle, one of the big winners in recent years. On June 30th, Pershing Square owned 28.8 million shares.
The filing, known as 13F filing, shows what was owned by the fund manager at the end of the last quarter.
The company also cut 5.4 million shares in Hilton Worldwide Holdings from 26%.
Its biggest holdings were investment firm Brookfield, which has around 35 million shares.
