Melinda Gates Comments on Jeffrey Epstein’s Emails Concerning Bill Gates
Melinda Gates has reacted to the recent release of emails from Jeffrey Epstein discussing her ex-husband, Bill Gates. She emphasized that Bill and his connections to Epstein “need to answer for those things,” referencing disturbing claims about Bill attempting to give her antibiotics for sexually transmitted infections without her consent.
“I think we’re really undergoing a reckoning as a society,” Melinda told NPR’s wild card podcast host Rachel Martin. “No girl should ever have to face what those involved with Epstein experienced.”
“It’s heartbreaking,” she continued, recalling how she feels when she sees young girls today, relating it to her own daughters at that age. “Whenever those details arise, it’s challenging because it brings back memories of a very painful time during my marriage. But I have managed to move forward.”
She mentioned that she chose to “intentionally push it away and move on,” reflecting on her life post-divorce from Bill Gates in 2021. “I’m in a really unexpected and beautiful place in my life right now.”
Regarding any unanswered questions, Melinda noted, “I don’t know all of them, nor can I even start to grasp them – those inquiries are for the involved parties, including my ex-husband.” She stated firmly, “They need to take responsibility for those matters, not me. I’m just relieved to be away from all the negativity.”
When asked about her predominant emotion upon reading these stories, Melinda replied, “Incredible sadness.”
According to reports, the recent Epstein documents include a 2013 email in which Epstein alleges that Gates contracted a sexually transmitted disease after an encounter with a Russian woman, wanting to secretly administer antibiotics to his wife instead of being truthful with her.
In response to these allegations, Gates’ representative denied the claims, labeling them as “completely absurd and completely false.”
