Bill Maher Calls Out Liberals Defending Democrats Who ‘Made a Lot of Errors’ Before Los Angeles Wildfires

Comedian and HBO late-night host Bill Maher this week criticized fellow liberals for defending politicians and asking people not to criticize them in the wake of the deadly wildfires that ripped through Los Angeles last week. He strongly criticized the faction.

Bill Maher said in an interview with TMZ that even if he agrees that climate change is contributing to the destruction, liberals should actively blame local government failures instead of hiding behind excuses like climate change. He said it should be done.

“I'm on the side of people who want to hold politicians accountable. “We shouldn't be talking about that right now.'' It's so funny to hear something like that come out of a liberal's mouth. Because they hate it when conservatives say things like that after a gun tragedy. That's what conservatives always say after mass shootings. “Now is not the time to politicize it.'' And it never will be,'' he said.

“Now is the time to talk about it. This is my edit from Friday night's show. Has it been bad all along? Absolutely. They're right. They built the city in a terrible place to build. Global warming definitely makes things hotter and the weather worse. The wind was outrageous. And they made a lot of mistakes, too. he added.

Maher also said that if Democrats want to hold former President George W. Bush responsible for Hurricane Katrina, they should also hold leaders like Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass responsible for the wildfires.

“If you think Rudy Giuliani is an idiot for putting Bush in charge of Katrina and putting a command center in the World Trade Center…well, there's a certain amount of criticism that goes into criticizing a team when it doesn't do the right thing. “We need intellectual integrity. I think we should demand better,” he said.

As Breitbart News reported last week, Bass was in Ghana, Africa, at the time of the wildfire, despite more than 24 hours' notice of what experts predicted would be the worst storm to hit Los Angeles since 2011. was visiting. “Ms Basu was in West Africa earlier in the day as part of the Biden administration delegation to attend the inauguration of Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama. “She traveled overseas on January 4 and returned to Los Angeles at approximately 11 a.m. on January 8, more than 24 hours after the fire started.” times.

Other comedians like Bill Barr and Jon Stewart differ from Maher, saying people shouldn't blame politicians at this time.

“This was clearly mismanagement.” Mismanagement, like some motherfucker on the internet knows how to manage the worst fire in Los Angeles and is sitting there in his underwear… [saying in an exaggerated voice] you know what? “We looked at the footage on the internet and determined that there was mismanagement here,” Barr said.
