Bill Maher obliterates Gen Z criticism of the Constitution

On a recent episode of “Real Time with Bill Maher,” Maher took the surprising stand of fiercely defending the U.S. Constitution.

“Last week was Constitution Day. It's an actual federal holiday, but no one noticed, even though it's probably the largest legal document in history. Is it flawed? Of course; it wasn't written by humans. This document was written by the government,'' Maher told the audience, criticizing the education system for not giving importance to this document.

“Currently, only 14% of eighth graders are knowledgeable about history and only 22% are knowledgeable about civics. Four in 10 Gen Zers say authors are best described as 'villains.' “Maybe that's why I answered,” he continued. Since 1776, Alexander Hamilton was 21 years old and James Madison was 25 years old. Joe Biden was only 30 years old. ”

“The founders of America, they were Gen Z at the time. And when they were your age, they founded the country. What the hell did they do?” he then asked.

Maher went on to point out that the founders made compromises like slavery, calling history “complicated” but “Gen Z's logic is not.”

“They think they're pure, but they're really just that simple. They know two things: White people did something very bad, and…no, that's it. That’s all I have,” he finally said to cheers.

Pat Gray of “Pat Gray Unleashed'' was impressed, saying, “It's really amazing, it's amazing.''

“It's not just about defending the Constitution, it's about defending the Founders,” agreed Keith Marinak.

“It's incredible that Bill Maher understood that and explained it,” Gray added.
