Comedian Bill Maher had two words for those criticizing the scheduled meeting with President Trump at the White House: “Fuck you.”
In an interview with comedian Andrew Schultz on the club's random podcast, Maher discussed a scheduled meeting with President Trump and how it plagues difficult leftists.
“Kid Rock was here a few weeks ago and he said, 'I want you to see Trump, I'm going to take you to the White House.' So now we're going to do that,” he said.
“On the left, there are a lot of people who say things like, 'How about talking to this guy?' Fuck like you. “You say, 'You can't sit at my lunch table, because I'm not talking to you.' Are you not talking to you?
If you win it, that's one thing. If you lose it, that's another thing,” he added.
Maher spoke about how change took place in Democrats, noting that certain figures, such as California Gov. Gavin Newsom, are alleviated by courting the right-handed voice in the spirit of conversation.
“We're getting more of this,” Maher said. “This has to be the center, this has to be the real center, it's a lonely island that needs to become a bigger sandbar.”
