“Real Time” host Bill Maher slammed President Biden and Republicans for their stance during the ongoing border crisis battle, claiming they deserved awards for their “acting.”
Immigration became a major election theme during a panel discussion Friday night, with Republican New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu calling Biden’s vulnerability on the issue “very real” among voters. told Mr. Maher.
“Immigration is real, but the reaction to it is not real,” Maher responded. “It’s all about the acting. They should win awards this awards season.”
“Republicans are acting like they want to solve this problem, but Democrats called it a bluff,” Maher said. “So we have a bill right now where Mitch McConnell and some very conservative senators are saying, this is as good a deal as you can get. Sununu acknowledged Maher’s claims and called for “all” members of Congress to be fired.
“But make no mistake: Joe Biden has a lot of power to change a lot of policies and influence immigration issues,” Sununu added.
