Billionaire Peter Thiel Leaves the U.S. and Relocates His Family to Argentina

Billionaire investor Peter Thiel has reportedly relocated his family to Buenos Aires, Argentina to avoid heavy U.S. taxes, fears of nuclear conflict, and concerns over unchecked artificial intelligence.

Sources indicate that Thiel personally met with Argentine President Javier Milei and purchased a mansion in a prestigious area of the capital. Reports suggest he is settling down in Buenos Aires while having also enrolled his children in a local school and acquired land in neighboring Uruguay.

Some believe Thiel’s move is influenced by his worries regarding the political climate in the U.S., particularly in California, where a ballot measure proposing high taxes on billionaires will be voted on in November.

As a notable figure in Silicon Valley, Thiel has become increasingly interested in Argentina as government tax policies become more pronounced in Democratic-run states.

Known for his support of President Donald Trump, Thiel has expressed admiration for President Milei’s radical economic strategies, which he perceives as aligned with his views.

Moreover, Thiel’s decision appears motivated not just by fiscal issues but also by apprehensions about the potential for nuclear warfare in the Northern Hemisphere.

Thiel is not the only one with these sentiments; his friend Martin Varsavsky, a Spanish-Argentine entrepreneur, echoed these concerns, stating his intention to move to Buenos Aires if geopolitical tensions escalate.

Last month, during an intimate dinner held at Thiel’s mansion with influential economists, discussions took a turn toward an unusual subject—the “antichrist,” which seems to have intrigued Thiel recently.

In this context, Wynton Hall of Breitbart News suggests reading his book as a resource for the movement to navigate AI’s challenges responsibly.
