Billionaire Biohacker Explores Happiness Through Health Regimen
Brian Johnson, a well-known billionaire and biohacker, founded the “Do Not Die” movement, which focuses on extending life. Recently, he highlighted his strict health routine, stating that nighttime erections serve as a gauge for his happiness.
In a 2023 headline, Johnson revealed that, after undergoing a shockwave treatment aimed at enhancing genital health, he felt as if he had the vitality of an 18-year-old. He described this transformation as a significant indicator of his well-being.
“I was really surprised by the results. Now, at two months post-treatment, it feels like my penis is 15 years younger,” he remarked during an interview.
He further mentioned in a conversation that monitoring nighttime erections is essential for overall health, as they are a natural physiological function that should occur regularly.
“Sleep is the best performance enhancer. Nighttime erections are something both men and women experience,” he noted. He emphasized that lack of sleep can interfere with this function, suggesting that if someone isn’t experiencing them, it might indicate a shutdown of vital bodily processes.
During the same interview, Johnson opened up about grappling with “chronic depression” after a transformative period in his life. After selling his company for $800 million, going through a divorce, and having three children, he immersed himself in the “Do Not Die” movement.
As a former member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Johnson reflected on serving as a missionary in Ecuador and facing a deep depression that lasted a decade. The questioning of his faith intensified after he sold his payments company Braintree to PayPal.
“I’ve been dealing with chronic depression for ten years. I truly understand how hopelessness can feel at times,” Johnson said. Yet, he expressed a newfound sense of joy, despite facing negativity from others.
“Now, I feel good. There’s a lot of negativity directed at me, but I’m enjoying life,” he added.
In light of this criticism, Johnson suggested that many of his detractors are projecting their own frustrations onto him. “When people criticize me, they’re often speaking about themselves. I’m just a target because I’m out there,” he explained. He expressed that if he hadn’t prioritized his health and rest, things might be different for him now.
