Bizarre flavored beer to debut at the State Fair of Texas

Fletcher's Corny Dogs has announced that it will debut its infamous mustard-flavored beer at this year's State Fair of Texas.

The beer was first brewed as part of a collaboration with Fort Worth's Martin House Brewing for the second annual Glizzy Fest in 2023. The alcohol content is claimed to be 5.5%, which is about the same as a can of Stella Artois.

The Fletcher family debuted their eponymous Corny Dog at the State Fair in 1942, and it has been a fixture at the state fair ever since. Their decision to add unconventional beers to their lineup is in line with Martin House's penchant for rebelling against, and in some cases transgressing, their customers' palettes.

Martin House is focused on introducing some of the weirdest beers to the public. In the past, the brewery has also produced a variety of beers in-house, from hot dog water-flavored sodas to carbonated drinks. elf– A themed beer inspired by Buddy the Elf's favorite food, cold spaghetti topped with maple syrup and M&Ms.

Fletchers sold more than 500,000 Duffy Dogs in 2023 alone. According to the Fletcher's Corny Dogs website, about 500,000 dogs are sold annually during the 24-day fair.
