Black Voter Support for Trump at 23% — Up from 19% in 2020

The CBS News/YouGov poll was released this week Former President Donald Trump’s support among black voters came in at 23 percent, nearly double from 2020, showing an increase in his support.

2020 Exit Poll Only 12% of voters were black. Support for Trump (higher than in 2016, but 8 percent).

While President Trump has garnered support from black voters, President Joe Biden’s support among black voters has dropped significantly.

2020 Exit Poll 87% of voters supported the idea. He supports Biden, according to CNN, but a recent CBS News/YouGov poll showed him with just 75 percent approval.

Politico Magazine Recent interviews with several black men in Milwaukee who are taking part in a voter outreach group’s pilot program focused on increasing voter participation among black men found that support for Biden was tepid.

“Sleepy Joe?” barber Rome Simmons said when asked about Biden. “You can tell by the way he wobbles. It would make me sleepy, too.”

Lorenzo Davis, a barber and ambassador for a pilot program for voter advocacy group Black Men Vote, told the outlet he would be voting for Trump.

“He’s all about business,” Davis said. Politico. “I agree with him that we should have more American-made products.”
