Blake Lively’s Audio Messages to Justin Baldoni Released Amid Legal Dispute

Audio messages from Blake Lively to Justin Baldoni have surfaced during their ongoing legal dispute, giving insight into their personal and professional relationship before tensions escalated.

Lively and Baldoni are currently embroiled in a conflict stemming from events on the set of their drama, “It Ends with Us,” which were said to have occurred in 2023. After filming concluded, Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment, claiming there were multiple uncomfortable interactions while they portrayed a couple in the film.

In one audio message, Lively expressed her desire to postpone the filming of “It Ends with Us,” stating, “Hi, I hope you’re well. I just wanted to connect and put something on your radar.” She mentioned her discussion with Ryan Reynolds and noted that he had faith in Baldoni and his team.

Entertainment lawyer Tre LaBelle mentioned that while these audio messages may not fundamentally change Baldoni’s position, they do lend some support to his argument. “These recordings don’t serve as a ‘smoking gun’ but highlight that the lawsuit may be more about Lively trying to assert control over the production rather than actual harassment claims,” he explained.

In her message, Lively also discussed her considerable stress from juggling multiple projects. She revealed that she had not communicated her feelings to the director of another film, noting, “I haven’t talked to him the way I talk to you.” Additionally, she shared her ongoing struggles as a new mom after giving birth to her fourth child with Ryan Reynolds in February 2023.

Lively acknowledged the early filming schedule, admitting, “It’s too early to shoot in March when you’re shooting in April, after you’ve had a baby.” She even suggested that if they could start a couple of weeks early, it would be fine, citing personal reasons.

Legal experts believe that these recordings could sway jurors for various reasons, especially since they contradict Lively’s claims. “This might raise questions about her credibility,” remarked attorney Brian Sullivan, stressing the importance of context in a jury’s evaluation of the case.

Baldoni’s lawsuit, filed in January 2025, stated that Lively’s allegations were unjust and aimed at reviving her reputation after a failed press tour for the film. His case was subsequently dismissed.

As the situation unfolds, many are waiting to see how the audio evidence and other documentation impact the progression of the case, which is expected to reach trial.
