On the morning of May 25, 2021, six students accompanied by an 18-year-old student and his 37-year-old mother entered a classroom at Southern Guilford High School in North Carolina and began assaulting a 14-year-old girl.

Authorities believe the attack stemmed from a fight at a bus stop the previous day, and the “revenge” act was realised when the student gathered his friends and hatched a plan to attack the girl the following day.

The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office reportedly plans to charge the assailants with misdemeanor assault and first-degree trespassing, WGHP-TV added, “Charges of incitement to riot may also be filed.”

According to Memphis Police, a 13-year-old boy and his 7-year-old brother were waiting at a bus stop to go to school on Dec. 1, 2023, when 25-year-old Runiyah Criss boarded the bus with her 7-year-old son. WHBQ-TV reportedChris wanted his son to fight the 13-year-old boy’s brother, police told the station, but the 13-year-old boy intervened and said, “My brother isn’t going to fight anybody.” The Charlotte Observer reportedPolice say Chris then punched the 13-year-old boy in the face, and the victim also said Chris kicked the boy in the neck. WREG-TV reported.The victim immediately fell to the ground and suffered a bruised eye and an injury to his neck, WHBQ added. Police He told WMC-TV The victim’s father told officers his son was assaulted at a bus stop at Douglas Middle School. The family wants to press charges, and police said the brother identified the woman from a mugshot, according to the Observer. The warrant was issued on Dec. 8, the Observer reported, adding that she was arrested in February 2024 and booked into the Shelby County Jail on suspicion of assault with bodily injury and child abuse and neglect, according to jail records. WHBQ said the charges are misdemeanors. She posted $5,000 bail, according to jail records.

A parent has been expelled from her daughter’s elementary school after punching a teacher during an argument with the principal over double standards on mask wearing.

The incident occurred in August 2021 on the first day of the school year at Sutter Creek Elementary School in California’s Amador County Unified School District. The male parent noticed that the principal and his daughter were wearing masks, but the teacher was not. When the male teacher stepped in between the two, the parent confronted the principal about the mask mismatch. The argument escalated and the parent allegedly punched the teacher. The teacher suffered bleeding, bruises and cuts to his face and was taken to the hospital for treatment. It is unclear whether the parent has filed charges.

On the morning of February 16, 2024, the girl’s parents were able to slip past security at Lincoln Middle School because she was short, had a hoodie over her head, and looked like a student. Syracuse.com reported:Police have opened an investigation into the incident, citing Syracuse Principal Anthony Davis. Police say Lindsina Sutton, 31, then found the female teacher she was looking for. The media outlet quoted District Attorney William Fitzpatrick as saying to Syracuse.com that Sutton punched the teacher multiple times in the face, fracturing her nose and upper jaw and giving her a concussion. The media outlet added that the teacher has been released from the hospital. “These are injuries that you don’t see often in a boxing match, so they’re pretty serious,” Fitzpatrick added to Syracuse.com. In a follow-up report, Syracuse.com said: Sutton is also accused of threatening another teacher during the same incident and is now charged with harassment and 11 counts of endangering the welfare of a child after a student witnessed the assault.

A father gets into a fight with a student on a high school campus. A clash between the student and his sons appears to have sparked the fight.

The incident occurred at a Tucson High School in Arizona on May 3, 2022, leading to the arrest of a father and a student. Much of the brawl was captured on video, and there have been conflicting stories about what led to it. Willie Smith, 40, was called to the school to pick up his two sons, who had been sent home after an incident with another group of students. KOLD-TV reported“School officials and safety officers told Smith to leave through the back door instead of inside the school to avoid a confrontation,” KOLD reported, citing the documents. But Smith said he didn’t feel he needed to do that because school officials said his sons hadn’t done anything wrong to be sent home, the station reported, citing the complaint. Smith also told officials that ongoing issues would become a problem if not resolved, the station reported. The documents show Smith said, “If it’s going to happen, it’s going to happen here,” KOLD reported, adding that officers said Smith was saying his sons would protect themselves if provoked. Smith then took his sons to the courtyard during lunch, the station reported. As Smith and his sons were walking through the courtyard, there was an exchange between a student and Smith’s sons, and a fight began, KOLD reported, citing the documents, which also state Smith engaged in “mutual combat with a student.” The station reported, citing the complaint, that Smith admitted to fighting with the student and claimed the student assaulted his son. Tucson police said Smith was arrested on a felony charge of disrupting an educational institution, according to the department.

Surveillance video captured the moment a mother boarded a school bus in Mesa, Arizona, asked the 64-year-old bus driver if he was “saying bad things about my daughter,” before attacking him and beginning to drag the screaming driver by her hair to the exit of the bus. Police quickly arrested 27-year-old Hermenegilda Marquez in connection with the April 11, 2024 incident. KSAZ-TV reported.“She was shown a video of the assault on the bus and was told she would be charged with a felony because she was caught on video committing the assault, but she showed no emotion when she heard this,” investigators said, KSAZ added.

The mother reportedly “stormed” into a third-grade classroom, threatening and yelling at the teacher, then blocked the door, preventing the teacher and student from leaving the classroom.

The incident happened just after 8 a.m. on May 17, 2022, at Pyle Elementary School while a teacher was taking attendance. The Fresno Bee reportedThe parent entered the school, but the gates were open and students heading to their classes were “free to enter and exit,” district spokeswoman Diana Diaz told the Journal, citing a Fresno Teachers Union media release. The parent and the teenage girl blocked the classroom door, preventing the teacher and her class from leaving the classroom, and began yelling and cursing at the teacher, the Journal reported, citing a Fresno Teachers Union statement. Another teacher heard the commotion and called police, who quickly escorted the parent from the school, the Journal said.

Father faces charges for participating in fight between son and other student

KLAS-TV reported. The incident occurred on April 12, 2023, next to Del H. Robison Middle School in Las Vegas. Video of the fight circulated on social media shows suspect Jose Montes (39) surrounded by multiple students during the fight, KLAS reported. The video shows an adult male kicking a student in the head, KLAS reported, and the student falls to the ground with his arms wrapped around his head to protect himself. Montes turned himself in to Clark County Detention Center and faces charges including child abuse and assault, the station reported, adding that the victim’s mother said her son was recovering from “concussion-like” symptoms after two hospitalizations.
