JERUSALEM — Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Israel on Tuesday amid a major security breach surrounding the unveiling of the Jerusalem plan to launch a counteroffensive against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The document was first published online Friday through a Telegram channel, claiming it was leaked by someone in the U.S. intelligence community and then the U.S. Department of Defense. This information appears to have been collected entirely using satellite image analysis.
Blinken is seeking a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and an end to the war in Lebanon with the US-designated terrorist group Hezbollah. His visit came days after the Iranian-backed group Hezbollah launched a drone strike to assassinate Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at his private residence in Caesarea.

Leakage of Israel's plan against Iran has raised national security alarms among leading Israeli and American analysts.
Amit Segal, chief political analyst for Israel's Channel 12, told Fox News Digital: “There is a reason why Israel avoided informing the United States in advance about the removal of Nasrallah and the paging operation. This reason. “This is because Israeli operations were systematically leaked in advance.” Over the past year, there has been serious concern in Israel about the implications of making secrets public in a way that favors the enemy. ”

Richard Goldberg, a senior National Security Council official in the Trump administration, told Fox News Digital: “The breach itself, and the possibility of further breaches in the future, is a national security crisis for the United States. I don't have any confirmation yet,” he said. While it is clear who leaked this and why, this incident forces a systemic review of who has access to information and how to prevent political and ideological radicalization of those who have access to top secret information. There is a need. ”
Goldberg, a senior adviser at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, said: “It is clear that there are top-down policies in place to constrain, appease, and sometimes threaten Israel through a variety of tactics; We need to keep an eye on it,” he added. Hamas and pro-Iranian propaganda, amplified by President Biden, Vice President Harris, and some white supremacist influencers, could result in radicalizing elements of society against Israel and Jews. ”
