BLM outraged over ‘anointing’ of Kamala Harris by DNC ‘elites and billionaire donors,’ demands snap primary

Black Lives Matter is fueling racial division and is clearly Violent protestsaccused Democrats of “appointing” Kamala Harris as the presumptive nominee for president after a series of procedural changes were made in the 2024 election that often ignored voters and their concerns.

On Tuesday, the BLM posted a lengthy statement: Website And X’s account has recently suggested that Democrats have become a threat to democracy because they seem to be trying to exclude voters throughout the nomination process.

“We don’t live in a dictatorship. Our representatives are not oligarchs.”

BLM alleged that Democrats first rigged the primary system by refusing to hold primary debates, concealing from the public “Joe Biden’s decline in 2023.” The group also accused the Democratic National Committee of rescheduling the 2024 primaries to ensure Biden would win the nomination and “make it nearly impossible for any candidate other than Biden to appear on the ballot.” The group said the DNC then virtually guaranteed Biden a victory, then used his performance in the debates to push him out.

BLM called such tactics bullying, disregarding voters and going against democratic principles. “While Joe Biden was not our preferred candidate, we cannot ignore the nuisance actions of the Democratic Party,” it said.

In addition to criticizing Biden’s handling of the situation, BLM also took issue with the speed with which Harris was named his successor. “Having round-the-clock discussions with party leaders is not democratic, nor is it a process the Democratic Party can be proud of,” the group said on X. “We do not live in a dictatorship. Our delegates are not oligarchy.”

Instead, BLM called for a “transparent and fair virtual primary” before the convention to ensure voters have a say, but the group did not explain how such a primary could realistically be held nationwide on such short notice.

“Democratic elites and billionaire donors are attempting to manipulate black voters by nominating Kamala Harris and an unknown vice president as the new Democratic candidate without a national primary. This blatant disregard for democratic principles is unacceptable. A presidency by Harris could be historic, but the process for achieving it must be consistent with true democratic values,” the group said.

Finally, BLM acknowledged that the Democratic Party blathered about “democracy” and exploited the loyalty of black voters to ensure high voter turnout during elections without ever fulfilling its campaign promises to the black community.

“This is not just about Biden or Harris. It’s about demanding a political system that truly represents us and upholds our democracy.”
