On HBO's “Real Time” broadcast Friday, host Bill Maher said, “President Trump understands that you're a Mexican immigrant, you're a legal immigrant, you probably have a blue-collar job, but… Who are you worried about?” Are you going to get a job? A man who came across the border. ” And those people don’t care about “jokes about Puerto Rico.” They don't care who Bad Bunny votes for. ”
Maher said, “We are less racially tribal than we were five days ago. I think this election has proven that. That's not the case. He was still killed by the overwhelming black vote.” But it's not the Latino vote. It's the ultimate irony that someone who started out as a politician saying, “We're rapists,'' ends up winning the votes of rapists. . …Because they're like, they know what people are not into. Jokes about Puerto Rico. They don't care who Bad Bunny votes for. ”
He added: “I think I'm a celebrity.” [are] There's an albatross on my neck. You shouldn't have us. People see that and leave, celebrities are different than us and don't understand our lives. Taylor Swift, it's going to be a big thing, no. ”
“Trump understands this country better. He just does that,” Maher said. …President Trump understands that if you're a Mexican immigrant, a legal immigrant, maybe working a blue-collar job, who's worried about your job being taken away? So, of course, they're like, oh, I like this guy who's going to build a wall, because that guy's going to take my job. It’s a thing.”
