A body was found in the cockpit of a United Airlines flight that landed on the Hawaiian island of Maui on Tuesday, according to United Airlines.
“A body was discovered in the wheel well of one of the main landing gear of a United aircraft upon arrival at Maui's Kahului Airport on Tuesday,” the airline told The Hill in a statement.
Passengers boarded a Boeing 787-10. Flight 202 took off from Chicago O'Hare International Airport at approximately 9:31 a.m. local time and landed at Kahului Airport nearly nine hours later at approximately 2:12 p.m. local time. According to flight tracking Website FlightAware.
“The wheelhouse was only accessible from the outside of the aircraft,” the airline said. “At this time, it is not clear when or how the individual gained access to the wheel well.”

United Airlines said it is cooperating with authorities in the investigation.
