Washington state officials recently discovered that the body of their missing grandmother was buried under the shed and partially wrapped in concrete.
The shocking discovery comes after 82-year-old Marcia Norman was reported missing by her family to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) on April 4th.
A relative said he had never heard of her since April 1st and that her car was still parked at her home, according to a TCSO statement.

The state of the house suggested that she might have suddenly left, like a dirty dish left in the kitchen.
In their statement, TCSO detectives identified Norman’s handyman Jeffrey Ziz, 47, as someone interested in losing him, and learned they had dinner together on the night she went missing. He was probably the last person to see her.
The Sheriff’s Office has obtained a search warrant for Zizz, a shed built on unrelated property in Olympia the day before Norman was reported missing.

While moving the shed on April 9th and excavating the ground, authorities discovered that human remains were buried beneath the building, partially wrapped in concrete.
The next day, the Thurston County Coroner’s office confirmed that they were Norman’s body.
Zizz allegedly fled the state and violated the sentence for a previous unrelated child abuse conviction, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office.

“Zizz is a key person interested in the ongoing investigation, and detectives continue to work closely with both Thurston County Prosecutors and Coroner,” sheriff’s office officials wrote in a statement.
Zizz remains at the Thurston County Jail at Novale Hold while authorities continue to gather evidence, but as of Wednesday he had not been charged with Norman’s loss.
