Boeing whistleblower John Barnett was spied on, harassed by managers: lawsuit

A Boeing whistleblower who was found dead earlier this month claims that his former company managers spied on him and “harassed, defamed, and harassed him. [and] “He was humiliated for raising concerns about quality control issues,” according to documents released by his lawyers.

The Charleston County Coroner’s Office told FOX News Digital that John Barnett, 62, died on Saturday, March 9, from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Before his death, Barnett said he was pursuing legal action against Boeing over his actions, which he allegedly led. He was seeking damages for his “constructive dismissal” in March 2017, including unpaid wages, loss of benefits and emotional distress.

When asked to respond to the lawsuit Thursday, Boeing told FOX Business it was “saddened by the passing of Mr. Barnett and our thoughts are with his family and friends.”
