Boeing said in a statement that it was “saddened by the passing of Mr. Barnett,” and its thoughts are with his family and friends.

Boeing has denied Barnett’s allegations, but his claims come as the company has come under intense scrutiny following a series of accidents, including one in which a door panel was blown off in flight.
