Bomb threat near Texas courthouse prompts 2-mile evacuation

The evacuation zone spans a two-mile radius of the downtown area of ​​the Angleton district near Brazoria County Courthouse, the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office wrote in a Facebook post.

“A threat is occurring near Brazoria County Courthouse and as a precaution, the court is evacuated,” the sheriff's office wrote in a previous post. “At this point, we ask everyone to avoid areas within a two-mile radius of Brazoria County Courthouse, as BCSO representatives are working to investigate further.”

Authorities established boundaries and closed several roads in the area.
