Attorney General Pam Bondy said Monday that Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) should apologise to Tesla shareholders for comments he called “to defeat Elon.”
“It's March 29th, it's my birthday, and all I want to see happen on my birthday is that Elon is being dropped off,” Crockett said at an event that was livestreamed last Thursday. Protest group push Tesla owners sell cars that own Tesla stocks to remove it and people who remove it.
Bondi shot back Crockett's comments on “Hannity” on Fox News on Monday.
“After she said about Elon, she said, 'Well, I didn't mean violence,' but there are consequences to what you say,” Bondy told Sean Hannity.
“And what happened after she said about Elon Musk is that she is Texan among her — in her own home state, after she said that three explosive devices were found in Austin, Texas this morning,” the Attorney General added. “So she needs to clearly condemn violence. She must apologise immediately to Tesla's American shareholders, not just to all Texans, but to our country, as she is promoting violence.”
On Monday, a baking device device was discovered at the Tesla showroom in Austin amid widespread protests against Tesla at showrooms and charging stations around the country. In response, the FBI launched a task force in response to a wave of vandalism and arson incidents targeting automobile companies.
Crockett is a prominent voice that resists the move from mask in his ability as a senior adviser to President Trump, and the figure behind efforts to eradicate waste, fraud and abuse from the federal government.
The Texas Democrats also last month were asked last month to ask if she could talk to a high-tech billionaire.
“If you could speak directly to Elon Musk, what would you say?” the reporter asked in a clip that gained great traction on social media.
“F—Off,” Crockett responded.
Oka reached into Crockett's office for comment.
