Fort Worth Bomb Threat Incident

Attorney General Pam Bondi recently addressed a serious situation in Fort Worth, Texas, where an Afghan national was arrested for suspected involvement in bomb-making and potential attacks.

During an appearance on “Hannity,” she expressed her concerns, stating, “I can’t overstate how terrifying this person was.” It appears he was using TikTok to connect with others online, discussing bomb-making materials purportedly utilized by the Taliban and indicating a desire to harm others. It’s unsettling, to say the least.

Bondi expressed gratitude toward local law enforcement, the U.S. attorney, and the FBI for their prompt actions leading to the arrest of Mohammad Dawood Alokozai.

According to the Associated Press, officials from the Texas Department of Public Safety alerted the FBI in late November after a video call circulated online. In it, a man claimed he intended to build a bomb in his vehicle and harm others.

Alokozai has been charged in federal court, although he hasn’t yet entered a plea, and there’s no information on whether he has secured legal counsel.

The FBI reportedly employed facial recognition technology to confirm the identity of the individual in the disturbing video as Alokozai.

Bondi noted concerns about the vetting process for foreign nationals, saying there seems to be a significant lack of thorough checks, allowing individuals like Alokozai to evade scrutiny.

This incident arrives amid heightened concern over the background checks for foreign nationals entering the U.S. Many Republicans have recently highlighted these issues, particularly after an Afghan perpetrator seriously injured one member of the National Guard and fatally shot another.
