Bongino criticizes misleading media coverage and supports FBI leaders in a post on X.

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino provided a comprehensive update on the agency’s initiatives this past Saturday, emphasizing their commitment to removing dangerous offenders and safeguarding children.

In a post on X, Bongino detailed some of the FBI’s current priorities while addressing what he viewed as misleading media portrayals of their efforts. He stated, “The workforce has been working overtime to run the task force to remove dangerous, illegal aliens from the country. The work continues. If you come here illegally to prey on our citizens, your days here are numbered.”

He indicated that these operations are just getting underway and are set to expand in the near future.

Bongino remarked, “These removal and incarceration operations, when combined with the administration’s laser focus on sealing border closures, will dramatically change the country’s criminal landscape.”

Additionally, he highlighted a new initiative aimed at protecting children from predators. “Crime against children is a priority for the workforce. The operation ‘restoration of justice’ is just the beginning when we locked in child predators and 764 subjects in every part of the country,” he said. “If you take away your child’s innocence, we will take your freedom.”

He promised more rigorous enforcement and cautioned those targeting children to “think twice.”

Bongino shared that he has been involved in addressing several high-profile cases throughout his career, including incidents like the Nashville school shooting and the investigations related to Jeffrey Epstein. He acknowledged the significant amount of child sexual abuse material being processed, emphasizing the need for proper victim protections.

Defending FBI Director Patel, Bongino pushed back against what he described as a false narrative from some media outlets. “He spends 10-12 hours in the office where he attends meetings with everyone, from the head of foreign law enforcement to our counterterrorism team,” he asserted. “Otherwise, it’s a verifiable lie designed to stop our reforms and break your trust. I’m dying on this hill.”

He wrapped up by expressing gratitude for the public’s attention and encouraging Americans to continue observing the FBI’s advancements. “God blesses America and all those who protect her,” he concluded.

Dan Bongino, who began his career at the New York Police Department in 1995, joined the US Secret Service in 1999 and later served in the presidential protection division under Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama. After leaving government service, he was active in Republican circles in Maryland and Florida and hosted a show on Fox News from 2021 to 2023. He’s also authored several books, including a memoir about his time in the Secret Service.

The FBI has not yet responded to requests for comments regarding Bongino’s statements.
