Boosie’s Courtside Collision with Jalen Brunson
Boosie couldn’t hold back his frustration.
During Game 6 of the Knicks-Hawks playoff series on Thursday night, the rapper was seated courtside when he was taken aback by Knicks guard Jalen Brunson crashing into him just before halftime. This moment was captured in a social media video.
“Jalen Brunson ran me over,” Boosie, who is a passionate Hawks supporter, expressed in the video.
“We really collided. I need to see the video. Who got the video?” he added, emphasizing the unexpected impact.
Boosie also remarked, “WWE isn’t that for me,” as he seemed to reenact the moment rather dramatically.
This collision occurred while the Knicks were leading 83-34, with just under a minute left in the half. Brunson, attempting to save the ball, collided with Boosie, who was leaning into the front row. The NBA All-Star even jokingly pulled Boosie down with him before moving on.
During his performance at halftime, Boosie played up the situation by lying on the court, giving the impression of being dramatically injured, but they both shared a laugh afterward.
He later uploaded a clip on Instagram showing Brunson returning to check on him, and the two exchanged handshakes. Boosie mentioned, “I’d love a courtside seat at Madison Square Garden… I’ve never been there.”
The game ended with the Knicks dominating the Hawks, achieving a significant 140-89 win, which marked the highest margin of victory in franchise playoff history. Forward OG Anunoby was the leading scorer for the Knicks with 29 points, while center Karl-Anthony Towns recorded a triple-double with 12 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. Brunson contributed with 17 points.
