Border chief Tom Homan reveals on 'Pod Force One' that he is separated from his wife due to death threats.

Border Leader Tom Homan Shares Personal Struggles

Tom Homan, known for his role as a significant figure in border policy, disclosed that he currently lives separately from his wife due to ongoing death threats he faces.

Reflecting on his busy schedule, he mentioned, “I spent a lot of time with the boys, and I got more time, but as I advanced in my role with the ICE director, I didn’t see much of my family.” It seems balancing work and family has been quite a challenge for him.

He stated, “My wife lives apart from me now, largely because of her work hours, but mostly because of the death threats against me. She’s somewhere else, and I’m doing my best to keep an eye on her. The situation is outrageous.” Homan’s concerns highlight the serious nature of the threats he experiences.

Since the end of Trump’s reelection campaign in November, he has been critical of Homan, whom he referred to as his “border emperor.”

Officials recounted the surprising moment they got a call from Trump.

It’s known that Homan, who served as the ICE Director in Trump’s first term, chose to retire when his nomination for a permanent position became stalled in the Senate amidst scrutiny over his record.

Homan’s Return

When Trump personally invited Homan to return, he felt compelled to accept the offer. “I was the first person to call, and I was proud to return,” Homan recalled. Interestingly, he was out to dinner with his wife when he received the call labeled ‘Potus.’ His wife immediately guessed what the call was about, saying, ‘He’s asking you to come back, right?’ Homan explained how Trump mentioned, ‘You’ve been complaining about it for four years. Well, go back and fix it.’ Really, how could he say no to that?”
