Border Curbs Needed to Save ‘Nation of Immigrants’ Claim

President Joe Biden has said his proposed border closure is necessary to address declining support for immigration and maintain the 1950s view that America is a “nation of immigrants.”

Some restrictions are needed to quell growing public opposition to immigration that has been captured by President Donald Trump and former Vice President Biden. Warned “We are deeply grateful to all of our pro-immigration political allies for their support in a statement from the White House on Tuesday.

We must face a simple truth: To protect America as a welcoming nation, we must first secure our border. We must secure it now. If America doesn’t secure its borders, there will be no end to the number of people who want to come here, because there is no better place on Earth than America.

To those who say the steps I have taken are too harsh, I say: Be patient. The goodwill of the American people is now fading. Inaction is not an option. We must act. We must act in accordance with both our laws and our values…

Today, instead of abandoning who we are as Americans, we take action. [but] To ensure that who we are is preserved for future generations.

“In the coming weeks, I’ll be talking about how to make our immigration system fairer and more just,” Biden declared.

In reality, Biden’s proposed border restrictions are a media-hyped scam to cover up his continued push for foreign workers, consumers and renters into the U.S. economy — an unpopular economic policy that transfers much of the nation’s wealth to coastal cities, CEOs and investors.

Hidden in Biden’s proposed restrictions is an unlimited exemption that would allow pro-immigration lawmakers to import roughly 3 million immigrants a year, or nearly one for every American birth.

Biden defended his mass immigration policies.

“Immigrants have always been the lifeblood of America,” Biden stressed, without referring to Americans and their families.

We are constantly being renewed by the influx of people and new talent. The Statue of Liberty is not just a relic of American history; it symbolizes who we are as the United States of America.

The Statue of Liberty is Declaration of Independence. However, in the early 1900s it was repurposed by immigration advocates to symbolize the claim that the American homeland is a “nation of immigrants.”

Biden’s lieutenants have imported roughly 10 million legal, illegal, semi-legal or temporary immigrants since 2021. But the flood has eroded public support for the idea of a nation of immigrants, something Biden’s advisers made no mention of in their statements.

Biden’s pro-immigration policies reflect Democrats’ enthusiastic support for large-scale immigration that will transform the nation and transfer wealth, despite growing public opposition.

“We have more worker shortages now than we’ve ever had before,” Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said during a November 2022 press conference to promote his proposed amnesty bill for illegal immigrants.

we [U.S.] Our population can no longer reproduce itself at the same levels as before, and the only way we can build a great future in America is to welcome and embrace immigrants, Dreamers, and all of them. Our ultimate goal Helping people with dreams [illegals who were brought in by their parents] All 11 million people, or however many of those people are here illegally, will have a path to citizenship. [Emphasis added]

“The people we care about most [are] “Americans who are in this country illegally,” said Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.). Said Fox News, February 2024.

Biden’s border chief, Alejandro Mayorkas, has repeatedly said the administration is building a mass immigration system to bring “fairness” to poor foreigners. Mayorkas argues that the nation’s border laws are subordinated to elite opinions about “our country’s values.”

“Sometimes we get attached to our particular tribe, our particular race, our particular religion, and then we look down on other people. [foreign] “We treat people differently,” then-President Barack Obama said. Declared In 2014:

It has sometimes been a bottleneck in our thinking about immigration…There have been times when people who are already here suddenly say, “We don’t want those people,” even though the only people who have the right to say that are some Native Americans.

“After 17 years of navigating a complicated immigration system and visa red tape, I’ve finally become a U.S. citizen,” Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) told an Asian immigrant lobbying group in late May.

Today, that [migration] The process is even more difficult and sometimes impossible for many, and I wanted to fight alongside other immigrants and work to deliver the American Dream for others. [foreigners] … I will always strive to help all those who want to achieve the American Dream.

“America was built by immigrants. Without us, our country would stagnate,” she told the foreign audience.

This view of increased immigration is widely shared in academic circles and the media.
