Border Emperor Tom Homan doubled the scrutiny of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's attempts to help illegal immigrants avoid authorities. I once again told Fox News that I asked the Justice Department to investigate whether her actions were illegal.
“What I find worrying is that we want to educate people on how Congress members avoid law enforcement,” Homan told the outlet Monday, saying last week he made the offices of “Squad” members. Ice referring to the office of “Squad” members entitled “I know your rights.” “
Ocasio-Cortez (D-ny) did not appear in the webinar, but members of her office characterised the ice attack as a “political tactic” “intended to create fear,” and federal agents encouraged immigrants to prevent the door from opening if knocked. – Advice that Homan argued could be a hindrance to justice.
“You can claim that you are educating those constitutional rights, okay, you can maintain that claim, okay. But what she actually does is It's about telling people, “Don't open the door, hide in your home, don't talk to the ice,” he told Fox.
“We're talking about people who illegally in the country committed crimes. They are threats to public safety and have received an order removed by a federal judge,” he added. . “It's like the AOC and others don't want to enforce the laws they've enacted.”
Homan did not say he was pursuing accusations against Ocasio-Cortez. Rather, he did not say he was asking the DOJ to investigate whether her actions were hindering justice.
“I asked the DOJ, where is that line of obstacle, where is that line of interference?” he said. “I simply asked the Department of Justice, they'll give us that line.”
Homan asked directly whether he thought Ocasio-Cortez was breaking the law. “I'll leave it to the DOJ.”
Homan and left-handed lawmakers representing Queens and parts of the Bronx have been refraining from cracking down on illegal immigration since they first began rolling out shortly after their inauguration date on January 20th.
However, last week, tension reached my head in a webinar. This includes: “ICE cannot enter the house without a warrant signed by a judge. Tell the agent to slide under the door to show the warrant.”
A few days later, Homan characterized the webinar as a wild and irresponsible behaviour from US lawmakers during the advent of Fox News, asking the DOJ to consider whether the law could have been broken first. I stated.
“I emailed the Assistant Attorney General today. What level of disability is it? Is it a disability?” Homan told Fox host Laura Ingraham. “AOC is probably in trouble right now.”
The AOC responded with Homan's ock laughs, claiming that her office did nothing but people, focusing on constitutional rights in America.
“Maybe she's in trouble right now,” she wrote to X and reposted footage of Homan's comments. “Maybe he can learn to read. The Constitution will be a good place to start.”
